Stiebel Eltron Glacier Reverse Osmosis Water Filter

The Stiebel Eltron Glacier is a point of use, direct drinking water filter that uses a Reverse Osmosis filter with a 0.0001 – 0.001 micron membrane, that is about 700,000 times smaller than a human hair, 2000 times smaller than the known smallest bacteria (Mycoplasma) and 100 times smaller than Ultrafiltration membranes.

The Reverse Osmosis filter is part of a 5 stage filter system including sediment, ACB and GAC with silver ions.

The Stiebel Eltron Glacier has an improved water filtration efficiency saving up to 50% of the water filtered through, with a 50/50 filtration rate (normal RO systems have a 75% water wastage or more). This is achieved with the EFRO Reverse Osmosis filter, this means less work for the pump, longer and better lifetime for the filter membranes, more efficiency and faster tank fill up times.

Filter Media:

1. Sediment 5 μm

Polypropylene, Reduces silt, rust, sediments and bigger particles than its pore size

2. Activated carbon block 0.5 μm

Coconut carbon, Reduces of bad taste and odors, chlorine, Triholomehtanes, VOC’s, heavy metals (lead, copper, aluminum, selenium, zinc, iron), calcium hardness and salt

3. EFRO RO less than 0.001 μm

Patented EFRO RO membrane with lowest waste water in the field (REAL 50%) 100% bacteria and virus reduction Removes cysts, algae, heavy metals (lead, copper, aluminum, selenium, zinc, iron), salt and calcium hardness

4. Granular carbon with silver ions

Removes bad tastes and odors Prevents second contamination with silver ions

5. Mineral ceramic balls

Supplies natural mineral back into RO drinking water for better taste and slightly higher pH level
